The Dandy Warhols join the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra for a special one-night-only performance at Odeon in Hobart this November.

Nearly three decades into a career defined by psych-rock, shoegaze, synth-pop and their unmistakable swagger, The Dandy Warhols remain one of alternative rock’s most distinctive live acts. For this concert they reimagine their catalogue with the full weight of a symphony orchestra behind them — a career-spanning evening of classic hits, deep cuts and fan favourites, presented in a way Hobart audiences have never seen before.

It is the band’s first orchestral collaboration in Australia, and the first time they have taken the symphonic show beyond their home town of Portland. Composer, conductor and violinist Tamil Rogeon leads the orchestra and has written the arrangements.

The performance opens the band’s Australian and New Zealand tour.
